Lab alum Ranya Khalifa has been accepted in the PhD program in Biomedical Engineering at UH. Working with Muna Naash and Muayyad Al-Ubaidi, Ranya’s tentative thesis title is ‘Investigating the molecular function of USH2A and evaluating splice-switching oligonucleotides as a strategy to skip a pathogenic exon in mouse models of Usher syndrome’. That’s a lot!
