First generation Frankino lab alum Rebecca Satterwhite earned her PhD in Joy Bergelson’s lab at the University of Chicago studying the ecological adaptation of an agriculturally important bacterial pathogen, and has moved on to a postdoc with Vaughn Cooper and Kathy Shair working in evolutionary medicine at the University of Pittsburg. More specifically, she studies how host nutrient environment shapes the evolution of antibiotic resistance across bacterial species, and the evolutionary genetics of the cancer-causing Epstein-Barr virus. Congratulations Dr. Satterwhite !
